  • Preferably to have a good contribution in the field of scientific research with publication in the field.

Job Purpose:

Design, deliver and evaluate the programs being offered by the department model at Diploma, Bachelor and Master Level.

 

Roles & Responsibilities The academic staff members at Muscat College:

  1. Carry out teaching duty as per prescribed rules and regulations of College/ or programs
  2. Prepare teaching materials, handouts, presentations.
  3. Actively participate in curricular and extra-curricular activities of the College/department.
  4. Play an active role in student advising, guidance, counseling and mentoring
  5. Monitor and maintain registration records and study plans of student/advisees.
  6. Comply with the programs assessment policies and regulations
  7. Conform with the internal verification regulations
  8. Conform with the grading scheme of academic programs
  9. Maintain unit/module/course file
  10. Comply with malpractice policy for academic programs
  11. Marking of attendance and complying with attendance regulations
  12. Involve oneself in self-development through ongoing professional development and research activities.
  13. Assist in the project supervision of undergraduate/ graduate students and participate in research programs in their field of interest.
  14. Assist in examination related activities of the department
  15. Uphold the College values and comply with the norms and regulations
  16. Adhere to college timings and display office hours on the notice board.

 

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Master/PhD in Management/Accounting/Finance/Entrepreneurship
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in the required area at tertiary level.

 

Skills required:

  • Dynamic and enthusiastic, with interest to nurture students and to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Able to adapt to a multi-cultural setting and to handle students of different nationalities.
