 The conclusion of the Japanese Course in Muscat College

 

 

Muscat- In the occasion of finishing the first course of learning Japanese language, Shiekh Dr. Ahmed Abdullah al Ghazali, the Chairman of Muscat College patronized the ceremony that the college held in Al Barza Hall in the college for the participants with the presence of HE George Hisaeda, the Japanese Ambassador for the Sultanate, a number of officials and Professor Madori Aswa, the teacher of the course. At the beginning of the event, the Japanese Ambassador gave his speech in which he expressed his happiness for the success of the course that lasted three months. He said “In fact, mastering a language takes much effort over a lifetime. However the reward is priceless. Your Japanese language ability will help you not just today or tomorrow, but every day of your lives. It will create new opportunities and new understanding. It can open the door to a highly rewarding career. That’s why we are strongly promoting the Japanese language, and that’s why I’m thrilled that you are learning it”.

The Chairman of the college and the Ambassador handed later the certificates for the participants and a souvenir to the professor. shiekh Ahmed al Ghazali expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Japanese Ambassador for choosing Muscat College as a centre for this course. He wishes that the relations between Oman and Japan would get more closer to enrich both cultures.

 This course comes as part of the cooperation between Muscat College and the cultural department in the Embassy to reinforce the scientific and cultural process in Oman. it is worth mentioning that 24 students and staff participated in the college.

 
 

 

 Muscat College Organises A Cultural Week

 

  Muscat College students took part in the first forum on “Better behaviour “at the Oman Arab University. The forum consisted of many workshops and presentations on ways to improve students’ behaviour. For 3 days, the students took benefit of the opportunity to discuss and learn from the variety of inputs by many experts and academics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 No Smoking Campaign in Muscat College

 

    Muscat College organized a no smoking campaign aiming at combating smoking in the college because smoking is a threat to health. The campaign was started by hanging up posters given by Health Services Department in Bawsher. Students from “Friends of the Environment Society” and some volunteers started raising awareness on the dangers of smoking. A questionnaire on the reasons why people smoke was distributed as well. During the day of the campaign, smoking was prohibited within the college. Those who violated this were punished by being fined.
