COMPUTING: SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

The course deals with computer software and development techniques wherein candidates develop skills in advanced levels of Programming, System development, Database principles and Project Management. The course also helps candidates develop the skills necessary for the present environment. Students are required to obtain a minimum of 12 credits for the HNC award, 6 of them are core units and 6 are option. In the HND award, the students are required to obtain a minimum 30 credits, 13 are core units and 17 are optional. A credit value is equivalent to 44 contact hours

Duration and the entrance requirements:
The course would normally be undertaken on a 2 year full-time basis. The academic year comprises 3 semesters and the entrance requirements: Higher Education Certificate, or other equivalent certificate. Also, students have to pass an English language placement test. |
